The Makers Circle

Dave Cockcroft and Adrian Leaman are hosting a Makers Circle over two days starting 4th June. This is an opportunity for us as professional or amateur makers to share our stories about what we do, where we are in our journeys with making and how our work/life balance is. We will also look at the questions of; What’s working really well, What isn’t working and what we’d like to change over the next 5yrs.

We’ll take some time to look at how we value ourselves and our work. How we price work, manage commissions and handle customer enquiries. They’ll also be opportunity to bring up any thing you’d like for tapping the collective experience and knowledge of the group.

We’ll be based at The Woodyard a very beautiful off-grid, low impact, making, teaching & events space on a farm surrounded by fields and woods in Gloucestershire.

A key part of our time together is also to look at our pricing structures, how we tell the stories of what we do and how we promote it. There will also be time for a sauna/hot tub, sharing food and hanging out around the fire together in the evening. This might be particularly good for people starting out on their journeys or those at crossroads but will suit all professionals and serious amateurs.
